Stéphanie Makoumbou is a Senior Associate at Lex Thielen & Partners, advising private clients across family law, civil law, and residential lease matters. She acts with dedication in emotionally charged and high-stakes cases, combining legal precision with a deep understanding of the human realities behind each file.

Stéphanie represents individuals in a wide range of personal matters, including divorce, custody disputes, inheritance litigation, and domestic violence proceedings. Her strategic focus lies in aligning legal options with her clients’ real-life priorities. In one family law case, she successfully secured custody for a father who had been wrongfully portrayed as unfit, ensuring that the children’s voices were heard and respected by the court.

Before joining the firm, Stéphanie gained diverse international experience in California, the Republic of Congo, Paris, and Luxembourg. She holds a two-year degree in Legal Careers with a focus on corporate law, a law degree, and a Master’s in Notarial Law from the University of Paris X. She was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in December 2022.

Her commitment to gender justice extends beyond her practice. She contributes actively to legal reform, including co-authoring a legislative proposal with the Luxembourg-based association La Voix Des Survivant(e)s and speaking publicly on the legal impact of gender-based violence and the needs of co-victim children.
